Blackout Sclera Lenses
Seriously, the creepiest lenses in the history of contact lenses! These puppies cover the entire eye! Total demon look. They are a scleral lens ( sclera in Halloween speak ). The sclera is the white part of your eyes. So these lenses cover all of the whites of your eyes. There is a clear area for your pupil, but because your pupil is black, it blends in with the lens.
Some important things to know:
- They can be difficult to insert
- Can take a while to get used to ( they are HUGE ).
- Shouldn’t wear for more than 4 hours at a time
They are big and cover the entire eye. But we want you to be safe. The large diameter means less oxygen is getting to the eye. We have a rule on set with sclera lenses in the film industry. 4 hours on 1 hour off. Need to let those eyes breathe and recover.
All that being said… they are AWESOME! And offer the best effect out of any contact lens… EVER.

Great customer service. They answered quickly any time I sent a question. I have small eyes, so these blackouts are a challenge to put in, but my optometrist was impressed with their fit once she put one in. With practice I’m sure I’ll be able to get both eyes in without too much issue.
